How often do you make a meal which could be classified as food porn? Do you post pictures of it on social medias? What are the meals?

Pictures will be greatly appriciated!

Oh Lars, I agree. But I have to have some type of self-restraint ;) And with a name like Lars, I assume you eat viking-sized portions.

Right over here, Ashley - and it's REALLY tasty. Great for transitioning from grains! http://www.marksdailyapple.com/no-oat-oatmeal-its-no-atmeal/

I'd like a recipe for that "Noatmeal." My mom is experimenting with no grains but she loves her morning oatmeal. Thanks!

I post photos on FB; I'm in a circle of Paleo friends who take pride in their new way of eating, and we love to show off to each other. It's a great means of social support, too, and generates lots of curious questions from our non-Paleo friends. We've even managed to pull a few into Paleo this way, woo hoo!

tell-me-about-your-food-porn.

I had this two Wednesdays ago: bison New York steak cooked in coconut oil with broccoli, bell peppers, onions, 3 eggs (omega-3, cage free, and soy free) and half an avocado.

And this was a bit of what I had for Thanksgiving: oven-baked Chilean Sea Bass cooked in ghee, butternut squash puree, and a side of green beans + roasted red peppers.
(This is found on my photo blog--NOT a Paleo/food blog)

Here is a picture of a wild mushroom, red onion and free-range ham pizza we had. It's topped with wild inkcaps, wild puffballs, wild tawaka (a native NZ variant of the poplar mushroom) and slippery jack bolete. Oddly I came into primal/paleo bass-ackwards via (among other health-related things) my renewed childhood interest in and passion for foraging for food in nature.

(NB.Don't try this at home unless you're with someone knowledgable and ideally several (like 4 at least) good identification guides to cross reference. Learn the terminology. And it pays to remember the three shroomers adages:

"There are old mushroom hunters and bold mushroom hunters, but there are no old, bold mushroom hunters"

"All mushrooms are edible - but some only once"

and "If in doubt - throw it out".

Having said that, if you also do take all of the above precautions - please go forth and have very careful fun with it.)

The base was only gluten-free back then when I took the shot (hence the rice jars in background, which now store coconut chips, nuts in the shell, chia and the like). These days when I have the odd pizza it's often (though not exclusively) made using the base recipe from this guy's youtube vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jrVXDgxM3t4

I do count the base as a sort of occasional treat/"cheat" however, because I don't like making a habit of heating linseed and I prefer to eat my eggs with the whites cooked and the yolks raw - that said, it's a really great way to nom down pizza memory lane when cauli is out of season, or when you're sick of (or if you can't eat) eggplant slices as a base for example.

I'd say about 50% of my food could be called food porn, the other 50% ends up uniformly brown and unappetizing visually. I'm dabbling with photographing it, I've got a blog set up and a few pictures on it, but I've yet to publicize it on something like ChowStalker.com.

I make meals like that about once a week or so (I love to cook). I don't always take pictures, but I do usually mention it on fb...with vivid descriptions that could easily be pornographic in any other context.
