Peanut butter & jelly situations (Food combinations)

What are some of your favourite food combinations that compliment each other really well? For me:

  • Acorn squash + shredded coconut
  • Butternut squash + cacao nibs
  • Kabocha squash + ...anything really. Coconut, cacao, raspberries, bananas.
  • Sweet potato + cinnamon. Not too little, and not too much. You don't want it tasting like those crappy cinnamon heart candies.
  • Beef + rosemary ...mmm minty...
  • Lamb + dill = amazing
  • Salmon + basil and/or sage

bacon and maple syrup

duck and any combination or all of the following orange, sherry, ginger, thyme, arugula

bananas fried in reduced maple, butter, and cream served with whipped or ice cream

tomato, basil, buffalo mozzarella, olive oil, balsamic

raw honey, strawberries and/or blueberries, vanilla beans or powder

turkey burgers with proscuitto, mozzarella, arugula, tomatoes, pesto and aioli

cucumber, avacado, red pepper and raw tuna or salmon + whatever sauce you'd like

fries, gravy, cheese curds...poutine that is, i make mine with fries deep fried in duck fat, and make a veloute sauce using a homemade duck stock. alot healthier than your regular poutine and insanely delicious

I was trying to think of something out of the ordinary that I like besides the chocolate - coconut - banana concoction. So

  1. Warm bone marrow from broth, spread on 1 slice Wellness Meats Beef jerky.

  2. Rib eye with Red Boat Fish sauce sprinkled on with anchovy on top.

  3. Roasted Broccoli drenched in avocado oil.

  4. Coconut butter & toasted shredded coconut on roasted beets.

  5. Would like to try to make citrus wild salmon jerky with cinnamon

My trinity is pork, sweet potatoes and Brussels sprouts. My favorite dinner ever.

Eggs and hot sauce. Blackberries and heavy cream (many fruits would do). Coffee and heavy cream. There's a trend here.

Guacamole and taco style crumbled hamburger

Taco style crumbled hamburger and over salted, fried in a mix of bacon fat and coconut oil white potatoes…so they get that bark on them

Pickapeppa sauce and hamburger = best hamburger patties ever (other ingredients to taste, but you get the idea) Pork steak cooked low and slow in bacon fat + caramelized onions.

(Holy trinity) creamed honey – 52% heavy cream + insert your favorite coffee here….there’s no other reason to get out of bed really.

Some of my favs for what it’s worth.

Truth.
