Ben! Be my friend! I'm sherpamelissa there too. Yeah, Livestrong has it's issues, but I do like how many foods are in there. Just keep in mind it's a wiki database so people enter only the nutrients they care about.

I've started live strong now too. Much much better bank of foods. However, is it just me? Picking the food, entering it, then when you ate it etc - their system is kind of cumbersome no?

Check out this super simple diet generator alternative. There is a Paleo and Perfect Health Diet option under the "preset diet options." You can add foods as well

I use the free version. Right now I'm VLC and tend to eat the same things a few times a week, so once I got a few custom items set up, I just have to re-add my custom or recent items each day and it's quick and easy for me. I like being able to see my macro-nutrient ratio.

I've got the software, probably not the most recent version since I bought it a few years ago, but well worth the money. Oddly enough, I've found it to be a great tool in learning to trust my body. I've used it many ways over the years, depending what WOE I was following at the moment, but I currently use it to look for trends in my eating so I can see how my body responds when I let it do its own thing. Just as an example, I've recently learned that if I have a day where I consume an excess of calories it will be followed by a few days when my appetite is less and my average weekly intake will hover right around the same week to week. If I have a day where I IF then the reverse happens. I'll have a few days where I'm hungrier until my weekly average comes out about the same. Knowing things like this allows me to relax and really trust that my body can regulate its intake without me micromanaging things. I think it also tells me that unless I am willing to go hungry - I'm not - there's no weight loss advantage to be gained from IFing.

The desktop application, which costs around $20 if I'm not mistaken - when I use it at all. I tend to get obsessive about food tracking and drive myself (and everyone around me) crazy, so I usually only use it once or twice a week to get a handle on what/how much I'm eating.
