Saturated fat and chest pains?

Hey paleo peeps. Well I eat a lot of fat, especially saturated and monounsaturated. I've been using coconut oil to cook my meals and lately i've been experiencing very tight chest pains, mostly on the left and a little on the right. They come and go. It's also worth mentioning i use a lot of Kerrygold butter, fats from beef and seafood, avocados, extra virgin olive oil and very little nuts and seeds. In my case, am i eating too much fat? I drizzle a lot of oils on my food. I sometimes pour different oils on my food at the same time. Am i overdoing it? Is it the saturated fat in particular or the all the fats in general?

The acute management of something such as chest pain has nothing to do with accepting or rejecting conventional wisdom. It's emergency medicince, not lifestyle modification. Go to an ER if you cannot immediately talk with your MD. (Sorry meant to post this as comment to OP.)

These fats can raise low-density lipoprotein, or "bad," cholesterol levels in the body. High levels of LDL in the bloodstream put you at a higher risk for heart disease and stroke. Diets that contain too much saturated fat are linked to chronic conditions such as diabetes and atherosclerosis. http://www.rosebudmag.com/lifestyle/health-fitness/lose-weight-simple-truths-for-fat-loss-muscle-tone

i think you should talk to your doctor. the effects of any fat are not so acute that you should feel chest pains right away. i don't think the pain and the fat are related.

I have had the same problem and have isolated it to coconut products. Just a chest tightening which I think may be a mild allergic reaction. It feels as if someone is pushing on my chest. Perhaps try and take an anti-histimine and see if that makes a difference.

Assuming you are still alive, you may be experiencing spasm through your chest muscles which have nothing to do with the heart. I was told once by a doctor not to worry about it because if it were heart attack, well it would be unmistakeable. It may be worth the price of a doctor's visit for the peace of mind, though.

This sounds more like a heart chakra blockage more than related to what you may be eating. Examine how you love and your anxieties around being loved.
