In terms of not only macro nutrient content but more so the effect on insulin in the body etc would you consider nuts act more like carbohydrates or fats once digested?

I did not assume that at all. I just asked if you eat nuts would they spike an insulin response or not really spike it coz fat doesn't really cause a huge surge. I said nothing about the digestion process

Its hard to answer this because you seem to assume that all fats and all carbs are digested the same way.

I definitely use them to add 'fat' to my day when needed.
