Because of how different fats do different things in our bodies, is there any health reason not to mix different types of fats in a single meal (saturated + PUFA to be specific?) Supposedly PUFAs (including omega 3s) cause a delayed detoxification of the liver, which can cause a problem in the long run. Does mixing fats such as coconut oil and omega-3 fish oil (two supplements I take) cause any sort of confusion in the body because of the structural and chemical differences of SFAs and PUFAs? Does combining fats put any added strain on the gallbladder? Is there any reason not to mix different types of fats, regardless of whether they are SFAs, MUFAs or PUFAs?
