Fat, Protein, Carbs ratio?

I noticed on fitday that my fat, protein, and carb intake as a percentage of caloric intake shows I get about 50% of my caloric intake from fat, about 25% from carbs and about 25% from protein. I have made no special effort in any direction on this other than to eat paleo, but it just seems to come out that way naturally. My general goal is to lose weight and be healthier. The weight has been coming off so I am currently satisfied with how that is progressing. But I find myself wondering what ratios others are eating at and why. Any opinions?

Without really trying to hit a certain ratio, my numbers are pretty close to stephthegeek's.

Over the past month that I've been tracking, I've been taking in around 2980 Calories with a fat:carb:protein breakdown of 55:18:27.

I follow Robb Wolf's recommendation of getting 1g of protein per pound of bodyweight. I haven't been hitting that number as well as I'd like. I'm averaging 190g/day but should be closer to 230g.

I also try to keep my carbs low-ish (< 100), but as long as they are coming mostly from vegetables, I don't worry if I go high. As it is, I've been averaging 128g/day. There have been a couple of very high carb days (lots and lots of fruit, etc) that are skewing that number up a little... most days I'm in the 80 - 110g range.

When I was in weight loss mode I was running about 60-65% fat, 25-30% protein, 10% carbs, 2200ish cal/day. Results came fast -- 25 lb in 10 weeks. I generally get a bit more carbs now, which seems ideal for supporting my current level of exercise.

My daily totals (tracked on FitBit: http://www.fitbit.com/user/2298KZ) usually end up at 10-20% carbs, 55-70% fat, 15-25% protein, averaging around 1900 calories/day. That seems in line with what I've seen mentioned in paleo blogs, and I don't really try to hit any specific numbers. I just focus on sticking with eating good stuff as much as I can and it ends up that way :)

I've only been at it a few months, and I'm losing about a pound a week with 2x/week strength training plus a few dance classes.
