Just want to get a feel for what types of fats are favored, as well as rough amounts on how much people are eating.

If you could provide a why that would be helpful as well!

About 50-60% of my caloric intake is fat.

Lots of animal fats here too -- I pick fatty cuts when buying pastured/properly raised meats, lean cuts if I'm stuck with conventional meat. I eat full fat yogurt & aged cheeses, and occasionally use cream for coffee, tea or sauces.

I also eat hard sausage and country pat??s, both of which have a fair amount of fat.

I cook with coconut oil, pastured butter, ghee, bacon fat or lard, depending on what I'm cooking.

I put butter on veggies & potatoes. I occasionally eat a spoonful of coconut oil mixed with coconut butter. Also eat avocados, and use extra virgin olive oil for salads.

Why: I think all of those fats are healthy, and eating a higher fat diet has made it easier for me to lose weight (and maintain my target weight). Eating this way has also improved my lipid profile.

T2 diabetic, I use ketosis to control my Blood Glucose levels. I eat < 25g of carbohydrate a day.

My macros look like 80F:17P:3C

I eat animal fat (choose the fattiest cuts of meat I can get my teeth on), avocados, avaocado oil, coconut oil, MCT oil and sometimes dairy. Wherever possible I like to use my own belly fat as a source of fuel.
