Amount of fat per meal

Does anyone know any rough estimates of the amount of fat per meal is safe without causing digestive problems?

I know everyone is different. I ask because on days I have only one meal, and try to get all my fat in, I can sometimes get an upset stomach. Also, I have heard some people reference only using a specific amount of egg yolks per meal to avoid the "fat bomb", etc...

Also, does anyone know what the mechanism is that gives me the upset stomach? or more specifically, what part of my digestive system is taking the brunt of this fat bolus (say 200g in one sitting)

Sometimes my dessert consists of Raw Butter, Coconut butter, 90% Lindts, and Raw Heavy Cream. So, a little bit of everything

I've personally never had any problems with eating any quantity of fat. Indeed, come to that, I don't find fat to affect me that much at all, in terms of digestion etc. The only effect I noticed on one occasion of eating a huge quantity of fat (about 600ml of double cream, before setting off on a long journey) was being mildly hotter, in a pleasant way.

I also can't see the need to limit egg yolks at all. If one yolk is about 5g of fat you'd really need to eat a rather large number to get a particularly huge amount of fat.

I usually take in about 120 grams per meal with no problem. I only eat twice a day though. Also that dessert you eat sounds godly. I need to bulk so I might implement it into my diet.

Just a few thoughts

Which fat ? Since you are talking about consuming a large amount I would say only monounsaturated, long chained saturated and medium chained saturated are game. Personal anecdote, I could easily drank 100 ml of heavy cream (30g of various fats) but had "digestive" (heat in the head, stomach hurting) with 30g of coconut cream (20g) so I believe type does matter. Also I find it easier to drink the fats.

Haven't heart the egg yolk thing so I can't comment.

"I know everyone is different" This is probably the best answer although you can slightly alter the question to "How muchfat per meal is safe without causing digestive problems for you ?" you get a poll :)

I can easily drink cup of heavy cream so that's just a bit over 100g of various fats (mostly saturated and mono unsaturated).
