Should I eat or fast when feeling weak/foggy but not hungry at all?

I don't think it is from carbs being too low because I immediately feel better after eating just fat and protein. Please help me decipher what my body is trying to say with these mixed signals?

maybe you're entering ketosis (weakness/ brain fog), and eating simply lifts you out of ketosis and makes you feel better temporarily

I experience the same. I have a history of forgetting to eat because I don't get hungry but I definitely reach a point where my body tells me I need food in other ways - fatigue, brain fog, increased pain etc. I thought this may have developed after wearing a back brace through my teen years - stomach was so constricted that I couldn't eat whole meals and was always hungry. I think eventually I just stopped feeling the hunger and its never come back...

More information, please. Height/weight/age? Goals? What does a typical day of food look like for you? Average/estimate on calories/macronutrients? How active are you? How long have you been having these problems and how long have you been eating Paleo?

As everyone else said, more info would help. That said, I often feel hunger more as weakness/exhaustion/brain fog and less as an actual sensation in my stomach. Eating any kind of calories solves the problem. I don't know why but it's actually really annoying: I don't realize I'm actually hungry so I'm sitting there trying to fix the problem with more caffeine which doesn't help much.

How far along are you in your paleo journey? If you're less than one month in, eat more at each meal/sitting, or eat more often. If you are more than one month along, something else might be causing your symptoms. Do you have a chronic condition you're managing? Are you on any medications?
