Water fasting means nothing but purified water.
I'd really like to go 14 days, I read that fasting has so many amazing health benefits.

I done a 20 day water fast roughly a year ago. I am use to doing 2-3 day fast but this was the first time for that duration. It was an experience to say the least. I was drinking roughly 2 gallons of distilled water daily. About day 9 or so, things became really trippy but very clear in a sense. I was going thru a divorce then and that water fast not only eased the pain but gave me insight of who I am at that moment in time and where I want to be. On day 19, a sever hunger pang hit me and I knew it was time to break it then (its nothing mental, your body will actually tell you to feed it). It lead me to record the experience and put it on youtube but more importantly, it opened my world to those that have a healthy lifestyle and to follow the likes of those. I started experimenting with green juice, and raw foods and loved it for a certain period of time. I have since brought meats back into my diet and have the occasional junk food bug but it all started with the water fast. It does connect you mentally, physically, and spiritually to some entity. My mind was the sharpest then, I lost 44 pounds in those 20 days(I was weighting around 360 lbs.). And I had a renewed sense of self and purpose. I continued on that past and lost 100 pounds. I have but 40 of it back on but will fluctuate between 280 and 300 lbs. I am OK with that. I have a powerlifting background so I like being a big guy, just nice to be healthier now.

I've done several extended water fasts - it is hard to do while working, not necessarily when it comes to energy, but the whole thing can be really trippy, some days are super clear, and other days you can just get stuck in your own little world. I love the mental part, time seems to slow down and I always come out of it with some new idea or some solution to some problem. In part the extra time could just be all of the time from not preparing and eating food. Weight loss is fast, and if you break carefully, it can be maintained very successfully. If you have a history of binge eating you should be very careful.

I have some videos posted on my profile link, but none of them are from long fasts, and are from last fall and winter, but there might be something referenced.
I also break with diluted fruit juices. Have tried to do it with bone broth.. so freaking hard for me, makes me feel really weird but the juices, like fresh orange, seem to make it less weird, kind of balanced, and enthusiastic.. broth feels so boring and almost nauseating, but this is just my experience!

I did it for 6 days in December. I have read the same things. You will also get some opinions which say it's dangerous. I think this read is obligatory:
Don't exactly know what you mean by "purified water". I get my water from my well.
I never really lost my hunger. Most folks say hunger pangs go away after a couple of days, mine didn't. That's why I broke the fast, basically.
It's an interesting topic and I aim to try it again. Please comment more if you get into it.
