I don't agree with Durianrider. I think he's a fool and an idiot but he nailed it here. I watched the JRE and much of what woff said made no logical sense.. Buy buy paleo.

"I felt better on gluten free with 50-80g of protein and tons of veggies and fruits and brown rice." I'm not sure how much you read of Mark Sisson's stuff, but if you replace the brown rice with white rice, potatoes, or sweet potatoes, that IS a paleo/primal diet. Many people do low carb and see results, but it doesn't necessarily have to be low carb.

I just don't understand how it took you a year to realize something wasn't working and then after that time you say bye bye to the bigger picture of eating whole foods just because you're version of it didn't work for you because you refused to listen to your body. And Mark advocates an 80-20 principle for many, like are you arguing that 20% of whatever you want junk food on top of 80% whole foods isn't healthy? Come on now, this is ridiculous, IMO you need to eat some fish or oysters and get your brain function up a notch so you can make more coherent arguments....

And dude, I mean, I don't understand how you could follow a version of paleo for a whole year and only after an entire year did you realize that everything was wrong and that it didn't work for you. Like, I'd think that after a few weeks or months maybe you'd realize something was up and try mixing it up, if you follow any advice to the extreme without listening to your own body you'll likely wind up in a mess, this shouldn't be news to any grown adult. Take what you hear with a grain of salt and don't follow somebody's advice for a year if you aren't getting the results you want...

@August, I haven't listened to the Rogan episode yet, but I'm willing to bet Wolffe never said KFC & McDonald's are Paleo.

I agree with Tal. This discussion had a lot of potential. Just because you're in charge doesn't mean you have to like everything that goes on. Nobody forces anyone to engage in any of these threads.

LOL @ "strict Sisson style". I mean, I eat somewhat Sisson-style myself, but he is about the LEAST STRICT of all the "gurus" and I'm also not an elite athlete looking for extreme results.

Seriously? I listened to the Rogan-Robb Wolf interview. I am currently listening to Durianrider's video, and Durianrider is lying. He is free associating and making crap up. He just said paleoworld had no fat. Hunters killed animals and ate the fat part preferentially- like the liver. Durianrider is not describing reality.

Well I wouldn't worry to much about that roganfan, you must follow the news and know by now that wrestling is likely going to be removed from the Olympics all together : http://rt.com/sport/wrestling-olympic-sacrilege-sport-211/ . And I'm tired of these low carb paleos posting on here about them quitting because they went low carb and couldn't handle that. I've been paleo since last April, and I was low carb, it didn't work, so I introduced carbs. I mean JFC, just eat whole foods, that's like the only real rule of paleo, macros is preference and varies for body types.

I haven't had god results with it myself. I am an elite freestyle wrestler (was Olympic bound but....) and I find one year with my paleo experiment- it's over. I loss muscle, got flabby, notice my mood went down etc. I was fairly strict too- going Sisson style. I felt better on gluten free with 50-80g of protein and tons of veggies and fruits and brown rice. Fuck paleo.

Yes, you're absolutely right. Paleo is a scam, because eating what we ate for the last two million years is a fad, and eating what we only ate in the last 20 years is what we should eat.

And it's a scam because there's so much profit in eating organic produce instead of GMOs oozing with pesticides, and pastured meats instead of CAFO mistreated animals fed GMO grains, and antibiotics.

Oh yeah. You're soooo right.

Now please, take your vegan, or whatever propaganda and shove it you know where. Don't worry, it will fit, after all, you've been shoving 30 bananas in it each day.

Lol, you decided to not do paleo based on durriander's criticisms about a single paleo individual... You didn't base your decision on science or even n=1, just some coook's opinion on the matter. Have you watched the videos where durriander calls Bruce Fife and Weston Price wrong also?

BYE BYE Paleo. And an in person meeting with Sisson, Wolff and his wife made me weary. His interview sealed it up.

Sisson looks like a Hep B patient. His color is awful. Rob's wife is obese. And Rob himself looks like the typical SAD guy. Low muscle tone. terrible skin tone etc.

It's all a scam folks. Bacon and eggs and coffee over a kale shake? Please.......
