exercising crossfit

why is paleo diet better for me if i do cross fit, martial arts, high energy activitys. compared to a normal healthy balanced diet. ie porrigde potaoes rice pasta wholemeal bread? please explain!

You should eat whatever you consider a healthy diet. If that includes wheat bread and other highly processed grains this may not be the site for you.

Look at the links above but in short grains have anti-nutrients and vegtable oils are really high in Omega 6's (inflammatory fatty acids). Also removing processed foods can't be a bad thing. It makes sense to me that if you can't pronounce and ingredient you probably shouldn't eat it.
