Whats YOUR Ultimate 5-Hour+++ Energy

Answered on September 12, 2014
Created June 29, 2012 at 5:19 PM

Look, 5 hr energy drinks are an absolute waste of money since they only contain B12 and B6 and caffeine.

What would you/do you put in your version of 5hr energy?

Also- violently dancing (think running like Phoebe from Friends). It's like sprinting, but easier to do in your apartment with lots of smiling.

+1 for sleep. Mostly my hours of energy are from NOT doing something (eating crap) then from something in particular. For example overdo on fruits and sugar means automatic no energy for me.

Add: (inspired by other answers) All above after a good nights sleep.

I'd agree 5hr energy is not worth the money, especially if you're wanting it to be your daily go-to fix for energy problems. However, when in need of a serious boost because you were up all night for reasons you cannot control (like being a parent), where else in the world are you going to get THAT much B12? You'd have to eat like 80 salmon fillets!

I haven't tried coconut oil & honey, I will. But I cook almost everything in it (not honey) and typically start my day w/ coffee & coconut milk. I eat steak several nights a week and eggs & bacon are my go to breakfast. The results of 5 hr energy, so far, are generally more intense and longer lasting. Results in a more productive day for me, but I still only use it once in a blue moon because I know anything with that much concentration of anything is heavily processed and should be avoided.

Practice! Adjusting your body to going the 5++ without being hungry/eating.

Ignoring false hunger signals, overriding hunger

Ultimately, adjusting your body to ketosis lets you go a looooooong time without food.
