Is Celsius energy drink ok with this diet? Is it healthier?

Supposedly this drink helps burns calories, reduces body fat, energizes metabolism, has lasting energy, and is clinically validated. I think this is for like for an extra boost to boost the effects of this diet.

I listed the supplement fact is see if any knows if this is ok. It must be drinking before an active activity such as a sport or work out cause it has thermogenics to help you burn calories (it could make you hot temperature wise so you need to sweat).

What is "thermogenesis"? Thermogenesis literally refers to the creation of heat (thermo: heat, genesis: creation). When we create heat, we burn additional calories. Any substance which stimulates the body???s resting metabolic rate (RMR) and raises body temperature is called a thermogenic agent. Celsius is packed with thermogenic agents that work with your metabolism to turn up the heat in your caloric furnace and burn extra calories

It also has no sugar, it is low calorie, has no aspartame, has very low sodium, no artificial preservatives, no high fructose corn syrup, and no artificial colors or flavors.

I drink no more than a can a day. sometimes i drink like 2-3 oz out of the 12 oz can, a day when i dont exercise. I would drink a can before bowling or raquetball.

i get it from vitamin shoppe, and each can is less than $2

It this ok with the paleo diet? if not, whats wrong with it? and what are the health concerns?

The way to "burns calories, reduces body fat, energizes metabolism, has lasting energy" is by eating real food, being active, and sleeping well.

It's not healthier than water. Water is better because it's cheaper, not full of chemicals, and what your body was designed to drink.

Paleo-Hell no. Healthier- Compared to what, a Coke? Sure.

You could do worse. Don't get that stuff thinking it will be helpful. It's really a question of how far down the "bad" list you want to place it.

If you have to ask if something you found in a can is okay for this "diet" then it's not ok. You're looking for a quick "safe" fix to lose weight quicker and there isn't one. A simple way of deciding if something is ok is this question, "Is it a fruit, vegetable, meat, egg, or herb in whole or very minimally processed form? (Sliced, chopped, no added ingredients.) If the answer is no, then you have to decide for yourself how bad it is for you.

Studies done on thermogenic foods have shown the calories burned with the process to be minor (not going to list specific stuff, you can Google it yourself if you'd like.) Anytime you see a flavored drink with a zero calorie claim, it has an artificial sweetener. The words "natural flavor" actually mean a flavor produced in a lab to imitate a natural flavor. If you're really into the thermogenic idea, green tea and garlic both produce that effect.

My suggestion? Ditch the chemicals and drink water. Seriously.
