You've been burning the candle at both ends, overworked, and feeling low - once you've caught up on sleep, what is your favourite meal/recipe to recharge your batteries fast?

i got get a filet of bison pan sear it for ten seconds in cast iron.....cut ahi tuna sashmi and lay it over the top of the Bison and then lump crab meat soaked in pastured butter on a bed of spinach, argula, and watercress with garlic and tumeric with a glass of 1982 Margaux. For dessert.......coffee with one large table spoon of coconut oil in it with Stevia, cinammon cacoa and tablespoon of cream. Then to the hot tub and then to get my oxytocin on.......that is how I roll.

A pound of fatty grassfed ground beef simmered with lots of cumin and sea salt, with a pound of potatoes. My favorite post workout meal.

Nothing restores both body and soul quite like a steaming bowl of homemade chicken broth. It also depends on what kind of restoration I'm in the mood for, as there are endless variations upon the theme; light and wholesome Asian inspired flavours (think ginger, lemongrass, sesame seed oil) with finely sliced vegetables, chicken and rice noodles (depending on how strict you are). A richer variation is a traditional cream of chicken soup, made with plenty of cream and egg yolks and thick with leek and tarragon.

Something bright, colourful and crunchy. Like a mexican style salad with avocado, lime juice, red peppers, tomatoes, jalepenos etc. Served with tuna tataki - pan seared tuna with a wheat free tamari and ginger sauce piled high with chopped green onions - oh yummy!

Sweet potato + Kerrygold and the rest really doesn't matter, though I'm fond of ground beef with sweet potato!

liver and sweet potatoes with lots of grass-fed butter. I don't think there's a more nutrient dense meal out there.

Ground beef simmered with just about any veggie(s). So simple, and yet so satisfying. 8)
