Water dripped out of my hard-boiled egg

So I have been hard-boiling my eggs for a few weeks. I am pretty good at it, not over-cooking or undercooking too much. However, I took some of these hard-boiled eggs out of my refrigerator this morning and cracked them open for breakfast, and water leaked out! Like at least 10 drops of water came out of one hard-boiled egg. And the same with the next egg. One was fine.

Is there a way to explain what was going on? Should I throw them away or eat them? Could they have gotten frozen on the top shelf of my fridge and its just thawed ice coming out?

I didn't think water could stay in them after being cooked! The part that leaked the water is a little tough, but the eggs smell normal and they look pretty tasty still.

Any thoughts?

Thank you!!!

Thank you. I ate them anyway, and they were delicious.

It usually means there are very small cracks in the eggs that allow some moisture in while boiling. Not large enough that any of the eggs gets out, but that water gets in. It's the same reason sometimes you see a small "crater" in the outside of the egg white. Nothing to worry about at all. I tend to like my eggs very undercooked (hard boil about 8-9 minutes) until the yolk is just barely solid.
