SUSTAINEDfitness - why do you care? You never answer people's questions here. You just question their motivations. It's annoying and unhelpful.

Eggs are not doing this and leucine happens to be one of the amino acids that can generate ketones. She isn't eating the protein by itself, so something else is going on.

Eggs are a freaking superfood, and far less likely to get you out of ketosis than a protein shake.

Why are you worried about staying in ketosis?

Why would eggs kick you out of ketosis?

I had steak and Brie for breakfast this morning. You can cook the steak most of the way the night before and warm it in the pan in the morning, then put some Brie on top until it melts. YUM!

Im pretty sure the protein in egg whites is high in leucine which is a BCAA, which are known to be highly insulinogenic

You could try just not eating breakfast. I don't eat until 10am or even later, depending on what I am doing that day.

Do you also check what your blood sugar is in the morning? Some of us have higher than normal readings in the morning, which would lead to lower than normal ketone readings.

Also, eat more fat. Boiled eggs all by themselves? Where's the bacon? I guess you could pre-cook it if you really need it fast. Meat works well too.

i'm in ketosis and don't eat eggs whatsoever. I just stick to lots of meat, coconut oil, kefir, and protein shakes.
