Recipe ideas for 3 yolks/day?

Answered on August 19, 2014

Last night, I took 3 egg yolks, 5oz of rice noodles, 1oz of butter, and cooked it stove-top. It was delicious!

Any other suggestions for ways to get in 3 yolks/day without eating the same thing over & over & over?

What would be good to add it to?

Thanks, Mike

I have a half a chicken in the fridge, and now I know what I am going to use it for! Thank you, this sounds spectacular!

@CaveMan, the raw yolks taste exactly the same as when cooked but runny, tasty, not gross at all, almost like ice cream.

Mike, you don't know what milk tastes like until you've had it in it's unadulterated form. AMAZING!

I'm sorry, but I simply can't bring myself to consume raw egg or raw milk. I guess I've been brainwashed :-(

Yes, I just finished reading PHD and I'm really excited to implement some of the ideas contained therein. I only wish the authors had fancier credentials in the field. Trying to convince my friend that this is credible has been a bit challenging.

turn the yolks into Hollandaise (http://www.simplyrecipes.com/recipes/easy_blender_hollandaise_sauce/) and pour over -- EVERYTHING

Also, if you need some sweet, Cajeta Filling: 1 Cup Unsweetened Coconut Milk 2 Tbsp Maple Syrup 1/2 stick butter 3 egg yolks 1 cup coconut flakes 1 cup walnuts pinch of salt

Bring salt, butter, coconut milk and syrup to just under a boil. Beat yolks in a bowl, remove batter from heat, whisk in eggs. Add Coconut flakes and walnuts cook to a simmer, and remove to cool.

Serve with a spoonful of whipped cream

Avgoulomeno -- greek chicken lemon soup. Chicken broth, a little chicken meat and veggies if desired, and lemon juice. Lower the heat to a bare simmer. Whisk the yolks in a cup and add a little broth to them. Then a little more. Then pour the yolks slowly into the broth, whisking constantly, and whisk at just below simmer for a couple of minutes. I have only ever tried this with whole egg, but I think it would be good with yolks as well. Whole eggs turn the broth from clear gold to creamy beige.

I combine 2 egg yolks with a half cup of desiccated coconut + kefir in the morning - like dessert for breakfast.

I frequently blend 3 yolks into a cup of raw milk or almond milk with a few drops of stevia. This is a good time to add whey or any other poweder/liquid supplement that you're on. Fast and easy.

Add to any soup or over vegetables with salt (I like over green beans). Make aioli and up the yolk in the base. Mayo... Smoothies. Eat with steak (deglaze pan then take off heat to add/temper yolk before adding). Make rissoles/hambuger patties. Omelettes. If you're keen mash with banana, eat as is or fry. That's what I could come up witrh as of this moment...

If this is PHD related there is probably stuff in the excellent q and a section over there too...

I eat lots of omelets, which I like because you can really change the flavors up.

Sometimes I do cheese and bacon for a breakfast omelet. I really like mexican food so I like chicken omelets topped with avocado and salsa. I also really like veggie omelets and I will cook carrots, broccoli, peas etc in fat and stuff the omelet with that.

I also like to made breakfast casseroles with home fries, sausage, and eggs. I make these on Sunday morning and then have leftovers to heat up throughout the week.
