Egg yolk consumption increases atherosclerosis risk and plaque build up?

Too much of either one may clog your arteries.

That???s according to a study published on line Monday in the journal Atherosclerosis, which examined the effects of egg-yolk consumption on the thickening of arterial walls.

Let me guess, it is much more fun than reading tripe. The 20% of participants who ate egg yolks also smoked, ate twinkies and ice cream, had unprotected sex with whoever was available, and just generally took more actions known to be dangerous to human health.

"Plaque buildup increased according to age after age 40 in a fairly steady fashion. But among the 20 percent of participants who reported eating the most egg yolks ??? three or more per week ??? carotid plaque increased ???exponentially,??? according to the study."

This is how they came to their conclusion? That's it? It's almost comical. That is how I address it.

This is from a National Health Service in the UK. Essentially, they selected a group that already had existing cardiovascular problems. They did not account for obesity, exercise habits, or alcohol consumption in this study. Average age of the participant was 61.5. Anyway...this study does not conclude much of anything.
