Conventional chicken eggs and dark circles

Is there anything in conventional eggs or eggs in general that could attribute to dark circles?

I had a slight cold about two weeks ago and wasn't feeling too hot. I decided for the hell of it that I was going to give eggs a break. Previously I was eating as much as 20-50 a week.

In addition, decided to start eating some organ meats.

It's been about a week without eggs and I've eaten a good amount of chicken hearts and gizzards. Feel pretty normal but one thing I noticed is that my dark circles don't seem to be as bad. I've had pretty bad circles my whole life and for the past week they have seemed to fade a bit. Even when i'm tired they don't look too hateful.

Could it be something in the eggs I've been eating? Could it be something in the chicken hearts and gizzards that I was not eating? I don't think it's the placebo effect. I went into this experiment with no expectations of fixing my dark circles.

Very possible...In a few weeks I'm going to add them back in large quantities and see if I can trigger anything. I'm tired as hell right now...no black circles.

Is it possible that you are mildly allergic to eggs? Some people get "allergic shiners". Although that is often in conjunction with hay fever, hay fever itself can be triggered by foods.

I had to stop eating eggs; a repeated set of A-B-A-B tests showed that I always feel worse when I eat them (I get mentally foggy).

I have also been suffering from iron deficiency, and in the worst phases I had pretty severe dark circles under the eyes. I think eating eggs impairs my iron absorption, which might explain the confusion.

I don't have the answer but I agree with you. I don't even have an idea what cause dark circles - I have been wondering that myself.

I have developed them about 6 years ago and my gut feeling - that could be TOTALLY OFF - that either I have developed SIBO at the same time as well and my iron got depleted as well at that time.
