Can I Get Through Airport Security with a Carton of Pastured Eggs?

Soooooo......I'm going to be traveling back home via plane, and I'm not checking any bags in, so I was wondering whether anyone would happen to know whether I can get through security with a carton of pastured eggs....raw eggs are kinda liquid-y! =P I guess I seem kinda desperate here, but I haven't found an affordable option where I live yet...laziness, I suppose. ;P

"Crackin'" up like an egg? ^_~ I had to throw in the "pastured" bit so that ya'll would know I'm not trying to smuggle just any ol' eggs!

Not likely. Just buy some run-of-the-mill eggs when you get where you're going, it's not a huge loss.

If you hard boil them, that should count as a bring-on meal; I always travel with hard boiled eggs for Paleo snacks and airport security couldn't care less. Plus you won't have to risk breakage during the flight.

So why not hard boil them!

Probably depends upon what type of mood the TSA agent is in at the time. I was faced with the same dilemma last month and ended up hard boiling them and made it through without issue with the full carton in my carry-on. Good luck!

Crackin up right now. This is one of the funniest and most creative questions I've seen in a while. I understand the reason for your question... you want to take higher quality eggs with you vs what will be available to you when you land.

But it reads as if the "Pastured" part could be a problem, as if that has anything to do with anything.

+1 for you CWiG
