Are there any problems with eating a dozen eggs on a non-primal diet?

I have a fairly "healthy" indian diet, and it would be very difficult to ommit rice and grains from my diet for various reasons. I know that dietary cholesterol has little to do with blood cholesterol, but is there any possibility that high grain + vegetable oil diet would be risky while eating so many eggs?

Congratulations - how long till graduation? Do they serve eggs in the dorms? Can you at least go gluten-free and do potatoes and/or rice instead of wheat?

The healthy was in quotes FYI :) The reason I can't change is that I am a university student with fixed menu options and no self-cooking is allowed in dorms. I am not trying to be lazy or something. You have to believe that it is sometimes not possible in some scenarious. But I am trying to go as primal as I can. Hence , increasing the percentage of primal foods in my diet however I can. Once I graduate , I do plan to go full primal ;)

how are you healthy when you are eating high grain and vegetable oils? define health - by body composition AND blood work like fasting insulin, glucose, A1C, triglycerides, etc? Are you too lazy to change or looking for excuses? Are you saying you can't eat eggs, meat/seafood, veggies, fruit, coconut oil, and dairy (if you can tolerate) in India? Skip the bread (rots, chapatis), fried wheat crap, rice, and dals and you'll be fine. As a cheat meal post work out you could do small amounts of rice and beans...

If i were you I would eliminate the vegetable oils and try to eat more white/"polished" rice (any rice without the bran) than brown/other grains... the eggs are fine, stick with eggs

Hi, It's not that tough to leave out rice and grains from an indian diet. I do it all the time. I eat veggies, dahi, chicken gravies, grilled chicken all of them and no rotis and rice. You can read about it here. http://primalgirlinbombay.blogspot.in/ give it a shot. and ya, if you are eating alot of eggs then alot of your meals are taken care off so don't worry about the eggs.

Since you have already been chided for your grain and vegetable oil consumption.....To answer your question no there is nothing inherently wrong to adding eggs to that mix.

Eggs or not, a high vegetable oil/high starch diet is not ideal.
