Hello everyone. I hope everyone is going well on their paleo journey. Just curious as to what other fellow paleo dieters are eating on a daily basis. And also how is it working for you.

I really like it for so many reasons...I feel more free from eating outside of hunger, I'm making really great food choices nearly always because I'm more in touch with hunger, my mood is pretty stable, I don't really snack at all, working out in the morning feels good fasted, I'm sleeping well...

If you leave the stone in contact with the flesh then avocadoes do keep longer. Not that it's ever an issue for me, i can;t help but eat the whole thing at once.

One quarter a day, so it takes you four days to go through a single avocado? How do you fight off the browning/spoiling?

I guess I didn't tell you what I eat everyday, only today, but it's always some variation of grassfed meat, organs, animal fats, eggs, veggies, some roots and squash, fermented vegetables, tea with coconut milk, and a little fruit sometimes.

My menu varies by mood, outdoor temperature, and local growing seasons. Foods that I eat on a daily basis include:

  • local grassfed beef, pork, or poultry
  • local, seasonal fruits and veggies
  • healthy fats (pastured butter, coconut oil, and/or ghee)
  • fermented cod liver oil

Foods that I eat on a regular basis:

  • bone broth
  • kombucha
  • sardines
  • offal
  • olive oil
  • local pastured eggs
  • avocado
  • coconut milk

Foods that I eat occasionally:

  • very dark chocolate
  • nuts & seeds
  • nut butters
  • coconut butter
  • traditionally prepared (fermented) legumes
  • dried fruit
  • traditional sweeteners (honey, maple syrup, coconut sugar)
  • high quality cheese
  • cream
  • wild caught fish/seafood

I didn't really have any medical problems before starting paleo, but changing my diet has improved my mood and resulted in considerable weight loss (over 40 pounds so far). So, I'd say it's working quite well for me.

Everyday foods (in no particular order of preference):

  1. Coconut Cream
  2. Coconut Oil (for cooking or making homemade chocolate)
  3. Avocado with a little mayo
  4. Some nuts (usually either macadamia or almonds)
  5. Bone broth

Weekly Foods:

  1. Beef
  2. Pork
  3. Eggs
  4. Berries (usually blueberries)
  5. Homemade coconut yoghurt and homemade coconut icecream
  6. Dark chocolate

Other stuff which is eaten weekly is green veg - but this is the last bit that excites me!

I make batches of soup each week and have a bowl nearly every day.

Typical soup recipe: crockpot of beef bone broth, bags of frozen veggies (stir-fry, turnip greens, spinach, ocra), and a starch (potatoes, rice, or sprouted lentils).

Well, my menu is always shifting depending on season and availability and what's in my freezer, but lately I've been doing an eight hour daily eating window, and usually end up eating two meals during that time. Today I had a bacon, brussels sprouts and yam roast for one meal, and since we scored some inexpensive grassfed filet mignon, dinner was seared filet mignon with roasted yams, and a local (in November!) salad of tomatoes and cucumbers...

Just food. I try and vary my diet as much as possible, lessens chances of deficiencies and toxicities. I do a morning coffee daily.
