What I'm saying is that OP will need to either eat more glucose or eat more protein to produce glucose so that his/her body has enough to function. Keto or not keto doesn't matter, OP just needs to be glucose replete.

Keto with too little protein sounds like a recipe for brain fog and hypotrophy.

At the very least it would be unsustainable in the long run.

Eat lots of glucose? This response sounds a little bit confused. And you can go into keto with only a bit of protein. But we aren't even talking about keto here.

Too much protein kicks you out of ketosis. Not too little. Ketosis is all about fat and avoiding excess protein and carbs.

Slightly off topic, but today I got 8 large butternut squashes, about 40 lbs, for $8. I don't know if one can beat that much nutrition for that money.

I'm from the UK & get grass-fed heart & liver for under half the price of muscle meat, plus i get bones for pennies. I do buy other meats too but my point is... nose to tail eating is much cheaper than the "steak & chops" eaters plus more nutrients.

Eggs & liver are good cheap protein sources. Cook liver with some balsamic vinegar & cumin with thinly sliced red onion. You'll be surprised how good it tastes.

2 pounds of meat and 3 dozen eggs is plenty of animal product for a week. That's what, $10-15?

Get your calories from fats (butter, olive oil) and starches (potatoes).

Yeah just eat lots of glucose and you'll be fine. You can't be in ketosis with that little protein(well, physically, you can but it wouldn't be healthy in the long run) so carbs are a must.

Plus they're cheap.
