I just finished a like 1000 calorie Korean BBQ dinner with friends. It was NOT my idea but when we sat down at a table with a grill in the middle and they started carting in the raw fatty meat and fermented veggies, I knew something AMAZING was happening!
Sure, I don't know where the meat came from or the quality of the ferments, but it all seemed damn fine to me and for a night out with friends, I can't imagine a situation I'd be more comfortable eating than a place like that.
Next time your friends/family ask you to eat out, I hope you have the opportunity to show your appetite at a KBBQ!
