What are you doing for Earth Day that is Paleo related?

What are your plans for this Earth Day?

In addition to trekking the park in my VFFs and hopefully recruiting converts, I plan on my annual "plant a tree" and clean up the local park hike.

Perhaps plant a garden for your own food, signin up for a local CSA or having a paleo picnic in the park?

edit: In addition, do you view Eco-Green views to co-incide with your diet?

sustainability, natural, organic etc... or are you just here for nutrition?

are you promoting those eco-views in line with your diet for Earth Day?

I think you should run either a gas powered chainsaw, or an electric one hooked up to a portable generator that's also powering a TV and an electric heater so you can stay warm and entertained while you kill a tree.

if my VFF turn more people paleo(which they have some already) then im OK with the oil use. My Trees are evergreen, moderately native and promote oxygen conversion/carbon etc etc, I pick up other peoples trash, and do not contribute to it, and the CSA is far more sustainable than the Whole Packaged Paycheck.... whats the go to for 80/20 here? Dont let the perfect be the enemy of the good?

VFFs are only possible by exploiting the environment and the use of oil. Your tree is probably an invasive ornamental variety and not native to the area. Your park destroyed the local ecosystem and the trash will sit in a landfill for a billion years. The CSA is destroying biodiversity or at least forever altered the local native plant and animal population. Just kidding. Have a nice day in the park.

I don't have any plans yet. I have to get through celebrating 420 first :)

I'm going to rent an SUV for the day and drive a few hundred miles. I will probably club a few baby seals. And then I'll probably club some environmentalists. I will probably litter. Preferably with something that doesn't biodegrade...ever. Then I might hunt an endangered species and barbecue it. Then maybe cut down some old growth trees. With baby owls in them. I might eat the owls too. Oh right, and I will use as much electricity as I possibly can in 24 hours. And I might cap off the day with eating some radioactive fish from Japan.

I don't plan it, but every year I seem to fill my gas tank and drive a very long way.

"What are you doing for Earth Day that is Paleo related?"

Probably some kind of fertility ritual, in which I play the part of the Sun and some woman plays the role of the Earth. I sprinkle water on the female and bathe her in my glowing warmth. In other words, I was thinking about having torrid sex on Earth Day. Is that Paleo enough for you or do you think I should instead hang a banner outside my house inscribed with some kitsch bromide, like "We are the world"?

Sorry...forgot to add a comment explaining my downvote.

I think this is an excellent question, and one worthy of discussion. But I don't see it as having anything to do with Paleo, diet, nutrition or health. I would enjoy reading responses, but just don't think the question fits with this forum.

Thanks.

It's not planned, but I will consume resources and think that somebody else will fix everything.
