Thoughts?

I for one am very happy about this. He says in the video he was making 70k a year off his channel... I'm just happy someone finally put a stop to his madness.

Might have something to do with the recent precedent court case in the US which limits/prohibits giving health advice unless you are a licensed dietician or doc. Or something like that, too US-centric for me, but it was also discussed/of concern here a while back.

I definitely don't think this is some kind of conspiracy though, he is an asshole. Like seriously, the videos where he ridicules Bruce Fife, Lierre Kieth, brandon cintron, Weston Price and others. Like, he just throws a bunch of straw men and cusses. It's the least professional most lunatic fringe channel on youtube I've visited and I'm an avid youtuber.

IDK man, you may be right, but I've tried raw vegan, and I looked a lot like him when I did it. Skinny and obnoxious. I'd like for this to be a reality check to him and maybe enlighten some people in the field to other alternatives. Not necessarily paleo, but not necessarily not paleo.

I am no fan of the guy but I also enjoy rigorous debate. (Even when it amounts to shouting at the wind). How many people out there still call "us" loons?

It would be an economic devestation. Infrastructure (farm land) would have to be transformed and new employees would have to be trained and hired. Switching from a grain and soy based agriculutre immediately toa fruit based one would not be quick and easy. Also, other countries would certainly then not be dependent upon our foreign "aid" of rice, wheat, and soy meal.

Lol, couldn't Monsanto grow papayas, bananas and other fruits though? If the market shifted in that direction.

Youtube didn't give DurianRider a reason for it. If I had to guess though I'd guess he got flagged by too many people for just being straight offensive in his videos.

In today's world, I see the ban as merely a sign that he was speaking a truth that "they" didn't want getting out. A fruit based lifestyle (as indicated by his impeccable labs) frees you from the consumerism that is westernized culture. That means no more packed foods, no more supporting meat and dairy, no more money for monsanto, and no more doctor visits.
