I am new to paleo. My husband has recently been diagnosed with MS, and to support a healthier lifestyle for him, ( and for us),we and our 4 kiddos have gone paleo. Pre-paleo I had lost 45 pounds through low-fat, whole grain eating and Jazzercize. I am now 210 pounds, 5'2 1/2" and would like to continue to lose weight, but I feel that paleo is healthier. However...I am getting a little overwhelmed with understanding if I should be limiting the amount of carbs I should eat or not, if I should drink raw frass fed milk and yogurt or if I should avoid them altogether. Should I eat fruit at all...a little..or a lot, etc, etc....Almosn flour? Coconut flour? am I eating too much fat? I have been following basic paleo for about a month and feel good, but am not sure I am losing weight. I am hoping to find a nutritionist or doctor that I can meet with to hash out the details. Anyone from Houston know of one?

Be sure to watch the TED Talk by Dr. Terry Wahls about treating MS with diet. The Wahls protocol is similar to paleo, but a little more specific as to nutrients. It's worth looking into for your husband
