Paleo PCPs in Austin

What are some Paleo Primary Care Physicians (PCPs) in Austin? I'm not necessarily looking for a holistic practitioner but rather just a traditional PCP who is familiar and friendly to Paleo diets. I see a few specialists so having one that is respected by them would be useful. An MD is an absolute requirement.

I did not have a good experience there. Old Dr. Wiseman was fine, saw him for years--it's young Dr. Wiseman who pushes weird, expensive hormone therapies and the HCG diet. My endocrinologist was horrified. I changed PCPs to an internist at ADC. Ask your specialists for recommendations.

You'd think Austin would be a good city to find one... It's tough to shop for doctors!

Sounds good! I'll probably be in Northwest Hills or Great Hills so Cedar Park may be a bit far but at least it's a starting point. I'm guessing that this doctor will know of others.

We just started going to Wiseman Family Practice in Cedar Park. Not pure Paleo, but so far so good. And they have a copy of Cordain's book in the lobby, so ....

Any updates on the paleo-friendly doctors in the Austin area and/or ongoing thoughts re: the Wiseman Family Practice? I just moved to Austin and need to find a primary care physician, and I'd ideally work with someone who was on the same page philosophically and/or who could do relevant testing. Thanks!
