As requested... Does anyone know of a doctor who specializes in lyme disease and consults online instead of in-office?

Touche, Matt! But, if you need a short reprieve from cynicism check out the difference in the quality of life among the elderly before and after Social Security was implemented in 1935, and Medicare in 1965. Can you imagine how scary it must have been to be old and/or sick back then? Sure we shove an excessive amount of medication in every orifice of our aging population now, but once upon a time they couldn't get ANY medication or health care unless they were wealthy enough to pay. The WIC program to make sure babies and small children don't starve to death hasn't been too shabby either.

True. I should have mentioned that, but they are supposed to examine someone in person first.

I think... if they set up an initial face to face --then going forward Drs can meet via online.

Huh? It will still be illegal to practice medicine via the interwebs, nothing is going to change about that. It merely mandates that more people, particularly vulnerable populations, have access to health care when they need it.

@Matt--- not to get too political but I think there will be more and more doing online consultations due to ObamaCare

Online consults for Lyme... no wonder Lyme is often thought of as a kooky diagnosis.

Can you rephrase this to be understandable to more people? *Does anyone know a Lyme Dr who has mostly online?* Are you asking if someone knows of a doctor who specializes in lyme disease and consults online instead of in-office?

Reputable doctors will not treat you without seeing you in person. They are not allowed to practice medicine by online consult alone.
