Sticky difficult to wipe stool

Hey everyone.

I've been paleo for well over a year now but I have an annoying persistent problem. My stool is very sticky and usually quite soft/mushy and takes a long time to wipe clean which is very embarrassing. I already take Betaine hcl, digestive enzymes and raw kefir for bacteria but nothing is working. What can I do to get that perfect 'clean' poo?

I have IBS and certainly can relate! There are a number of things you can do. #1.) Take miralax along with probiotics (Schiff makes one especially for this problem, it's called "Digestive Advantage, Intensive Bowel Support". #2.) You can take Senna, which can be expensive but I have a secret. At Fred Meyer Pharmacy or any pharmacy really they have them for cheap behind the counter... take them (about 4) with 3 or 4 colace which is simply stool softener. And last and the BEST IS #3). Prescription Linzess! It comes in 2 strengths and it is for Irritable Bowel Syndrome and it Really works! But it can give you diarrea if your not really constipated. So there you have it... Of course you can try all these wonderful products and see how they work for you and maybe you can find which ones mix better for you. Happy wiping and enjoy the GO!
