I have a long history of digestive problems (mainly diarrhea) since the last 10 years. It startet when I was 16.
For the last two years I was testing different diets and I got much better by eating a GAPS diet without nuts and dairy. However when I do intensive exercise the symptoms return. Sometimes on the following day and sometime two days after the exercise and they usually last for two to three days. That's a problem for me because I do BJJ once a week, so this sets me back every week. My muscles are also sore for two days. eacht time. I'm doing the sport since several years so in my opinion my body should have adapted to it.
I'm guessing that the stress (post workout inflammation?) is to much for my body and the immune system overreacts.
Do you think this is correct? Do you know anything I can do to mitigate the problem?
