Gefilte fish! I am the only one in my family who likes it, which is fantastic. More for me.

I follow an incarnation of the GAPS diet as well (my version being much more strict), and I agree with you that it seems to have helped. However I still encounter minor digestive issues and horseradish is a largely forgotten root that might be of help.

maybe nothing at all, I just know that it was very popular in the past and touted then as aiding in digestion.

Where did you get the idea that digestive issues could be cured with horseradish?

No, but I eliminated my digestive issues by following the GAPS intro diet and then moving onto Paleo. I've never heard of the horseradish - digestive connection.

Don't know about curing digestive issues with horseradish but it is really tasty on roast beef and gefilte fish.

No... I haven't used horseradish. But when I was 16 I was diagnosed with Acid Reflux and IBS, and was immediately put on medication.

Around the age of 18 I stopped taking the IBS medicine. And around the age of 19-20 I started experiencing serious side effects from my Acid Reflux medicine. At the time on was on Nexium, but before Nexium I was on Celexa. I remember around Christmas time going through a whole week of serious stomach issues.

After that week from hell I decided to stop all stomach medication (against what my doctors had previously advised) that was prescribed to me. Then magically, all of the side effects went away.

To help with the stomach issues I would take Organic Apple Cider Vinegar (which was recommended for a natural remedy), which I know is hard to take down, but worked. I've heard Slippery Elm is recommended as well.

Now, at the age of 25 I don't take anything. I simply watch what I eat, and I only have a painful acid attack a few times a year.
