i zig zag my calories every week 900-1000 4 days, 2800-3500, for 3 days, i know 900-1000 seems low, but i up the calories everyother day, i was wondering if this routine can hinder fat loss(starvation mode), im trying to shed that last 4 pounds

Or why not try a total fast instead of a low calorie day. As in intermittent fasting.

i tried the one refeed per week and it didnt work, because most of my carbs depleted after workout (Insanity workout month 2) and it is almost everyday of the week except sunday, and i need and some carbs for the workout at least 50 or 60 grams, thats why on my low calorie days, it is a low carb day as well, and it keeps your body guessing

If that's really the case and you've hit a true plateau and you don't want to continue consistent deficits, why not drop calories further on a day-to-day basis and incorporate a single re-feed each week?

this actually sounds like a variant of Dr. Johnson's Up Day Down Day Diet. I'm not sure how sound the science is that this is based on. that one involves eating your maintenance level of calories on one day, and then around 500 calories the next. up, down, up, down. I think I'd obsess about food more than I already do if I were to do that. hahaha!

It shouldn't hinder fat loss, though I do recall reading a little bit from Lyle McDonald that suggested metabolic slowdowns can occur within 3-4 days on extremely low calorie diets. Either way though, what's the point of this? Why not attempt something more modest, such as 2,000-2,100 every single day? Same result, less suffering and potential downfall.
