I mean other cultures consume milk and don't have acne, right? Like the Nimibian tribes people of Africa. Their diets are mainly corn, milk, and legumes, some meat.
I mean...clearly there are no omega 3s, and milk...isn't that a recipe for an acne explosion?
and I'm in college, and see lots of people from all over the world...I've noticed that usually the foreigners have AWFUL acne, some don't but they have it severely! I mean they could have had it at home, and clearly it's partially diet.
It can't be just a sudden lack of nutrients. And I refuse to believe it's all food intolerances, cause if something is making us sick, our body has to tell us rather than just out skin, un;ess it's hormal, which in that case it would be insulin resistance, with a cascade of mineral deficiencies.
Cool article that lists pretty much the common triggers of acne only found in the western world http://www.facingacne.com/foods-prevent-acne-reading/
I can't get past the chocolate one! :(
More on chocolate and acne. Sigh! Never over indulge! And ironically never eat chocolate when stressed! http://suite101.com/article/chocolate-it-turns-out-really-does-make-your-face-break-out-a369440

I personally think it's the overuse of commercial facial cleansers and over drying our skin. I would drop $100 easily on scrubs and cleansers from Sephora, but it wasn't making my skin or husband any happier. The past month however, I started experimenting with coconut oil, jojoba oil, maracuja oil, coffee scrubs, homemade pineapple masks with honey and yogurt, salt water ... I never ever thought my skin could look this amazing. It's smooth and soft and it GLOWS!
In addition to harsh facial cleansers, I also believe diet plays a big part as well. When I've been eating more cookies / froyo / ice cream, or don't have enough water / veggies, I find that the next few days my skin isn't looking its best.
