Perfect Health Diet and Candida

I was wondering what Paul's specific guidelines for eating were for someone with a fungal infection. I know he advocates adding starch to your diet, but I was wondering if there were other guidelines as well like adding fruit or special supplements. Thanks.

You can avoid all the carbs you want, it's not that easy. Going zero carb actually brought my tinea back, and it didn't go away with adding veggies anymore. Now I eat tons of sugar and the tinea is gone after 1.5 years of trying to get rid of it.

You should ask on the Q&A section of the Perfect Health Diet site -- Paul himself is very good about answering reader queries.

I heard Paul explain, ketones do no require the same transport chaperons, like glucose. They readily available for uptake, by the body and things like Candida.

My wife has a candida albicans infection (the kind that feeds on carbs and you contract by taking antibiotics). She's basically on the paleo diet--but avoids all carbs/starches. She also eats fermented veggies and some pro-biotic yogurt and includes some specific herbal supplements.

Avoid carbs and starches or you'll feed the candida.

The only way to get rid of it is to starve it out...
