Is clarified butter suitable for deep frying, has anybody made tallow?

I mean like semi deep frying, oil a little bit higher than pan frying. I see that the clarified butter gets really dark and starts to foam if you tried deep frying.

I never seen tallow in stores or anywhere else, does it smell when you make and does the tallow smell?

I know there is coconut oil but I dont do well with the cheap ones.

Tallow has a very high smoke point and when I deep fry chips or fries I have used grass fed tallow. Its very easy to render tallow. All you need is some suet and a crockpot
