Hack my diet. Please

Here goes... I am 30, been paleo for about 6mo. I really haven't lost any weight at all, but love the way I feel, and have changed my body shape. Just really want to shed my love handles.

This might be related to my previous question about how I feel like I could eat a ton, but anyway...

I have been tracking my intake through Dailyburn.com just to see my ratios of Fat-Protein-Carb. Which has been an average over the past couple weeks of 55%fat-30%protein-15%carb. and I happened to notice that My caloric intake hasnt been over 2000. Now, I am not one for counting calories, but I am curious if that seems low for someone my size (6'0" 215lbs) trying to lose weight.

I dont have a big gut, just a flabby belly, and some serious love handles. I do bodyweight exercises twice a week, and walk/bike a couple miles, a couple days a week as well. I do take my Fish Oil and Vitamin D.

My daily schedule looks like this:

Wake- 5:00AM Breakfast 4-5Eggs cooked in 1T butter + 6-8 strips bacon.

Lunch-12ish Usually big salad with a meat substance + 1 avocado

Dinner-5ish Large helping of Veggies cooked in Coco/Olive oil and a Protein source

I usually break down around 7-8pm and have to have a handfull of nuts.

Bed- 9:30

Any insight on weather I am eating enough/etc would be great.

Thanks, Erik

Your diet looks fine, unless you are ODing on the nuts.

I know you didn't ask, but unless you have an active job, I would add more moving slowly (e.g.: walking every day for 45 min-1 hour) to your daily activities. Ditto the sprints.

i concur with annie. i also query whether the food you listed is in all likelihood less than 2000 calories. it doesn't sound like it to me. i could be wrong, though!

IMHO if you are trying to lose fat, up your fat and lower your carbs.

This looks fairly good to me as long as those nuts are just a handful (lol) and not half a can. I would try and maybe switch that to a square or two of good dark chocolate. Some people find that more satiating and less harmful than the nuts.

2000 calories seems reasonable for a guy your size that wants to lose. Your ratios look pretty good. Are you doing any heavy lifting, sprints or HIIT? I think any/all of those would help in the changing of your body composition.
