Hello! I am a 15 year old female. I am 5'2 and 92 lbs with 10% body fat. I obviously do not need to lose any weight, but I do not want to really gain to much either (a little bit of muscle would be nice though). I run and lift weights everyday and try to eat primal 90% of the time. I am trying to get my 5k time to break 19 minutes (currently I have a PR of 19:21), so I am attempting double runs as well. My main question is, what should I be eating for optimal performance, but not gaining fat? I am currently carb cycling between ratios of 20-50-30 (low carb day), 30-50-20 (moderate carb day), 10-55-35 (no carb day) and 40-50-10 (high carb day). I also eat around 2400 calories a day. I just feel that I am not making strength gains, muscle gains or speed gains at all (well speed is very slow). I have read that carbs help, but I do not want to gain bodyfat and lose the abs I have worked so hard for. Is there any recommendations for the kind of diet I should be eating? I would still like to remain primal as well.
