dietHelp Please !!

Hi my name is Sondos, I'm 14 years old and I do Judo . I practice 3 days a week, I am 164 cm and I weigh 70 kg . I have been trying to lose some kilos but it's not working and i really need to lose like 15 kilos in a month . So my question is do you have any idea how to do that ? Thanks.

Hi, Sondos. :) Welcome to Paleo Hacks. I gave you an upvote to say "hello". I very much agree with what Karen wrote in answer to your question. Getting nutrients is vital for you. You could just leave out desserts, soft drinks, fruit juices, etc., and I'd bet you'd find you get slimmer and stronger! :) You need meat, vegetables, fish, a bit of fresh fruit, egg yolks, cream, butter, and all those old-fashioned foods that build strong, healthy cells.

It's extremely unhealthy (and probably impossible) to lose that much weight that fast at your age. Your'e talking about shedding 20% of your body weight in 1 month! I'd strongly recommend against it even if someone could figure out a way to do it. Even for adults @ 1 kg per week is about the top weight loss recommended unless someone is morbidly obese.

Better to concentrate at your age on building muscle, avoiding excess body fat gain and getting all the nutrients you need.

That is not a good idea. If a coach or anyone else is reccomending this, you need to get them out of your life.

Focus on health- this is an important choice for the rest of you life.

You are still young. Eat plenty of meat/fish/eggs, with as many veggies as you want, and some tubers if you like based on your activity. Use healthy fats like coconut oil, olive oil, coconut meat, avocado. Limit nuts and fruit. THis diet will help you lean out. Don't count calories, just eat until you feel good and let your body composition fall into place.

Go to Plan B and ask how you can gain enough to get to the top of your current weight class.

15 kilos in a month is too much, but if you eat real food you will lose weight for sure (no need to count calories either). Just stop eating processed food. Remember that you are an animal. You are not supposed to drink coca-cola and eat popcorn.
