I'm making a concerted effort to improve my flexibility and functional strength to prevent injuries in the future. It's slow going and pretty painful. Are there any diet or supplement modifications that will make it go more smoothly?

I've heard taking a vitamin C + collagen supplement helps some people.
I'm more flexible later in the day, but even in the morning I can still touch my toes. You may also want to check out Kelly Starret's Mobility WODs.

Multigreens!! Avoid junk food, artificial sweetener, caffeine, wheat, and dairy (these are inflammatories, which can decrease level of flexibility. Drink plenty of water, eat dark leafy greens (especially kale and spirulina)
