In the spirit of Halloween, I ate some candy tonight - a Reese's cup, some M&Ms (gotta love that red 64), and a mini kit kat. Not to be graphic, but a few hours later, I had the worst stomach cramps of my life, diarrhea, and a raging headache. Put a huge damper on my Halloween... this sucks.
I'm surprised because I've only been paleo for a few months! Any tips moving forward? Short term - should I just fast until I don't feel gross, or should I eat as usual tomorrow? And long term - do y'all make exceptions for holidays? How does it affect you, and what's worth it to you?
That candy was definitely not worth it... I'll settle for a square of dark chocolate with almond butter next time.

I have had the same feeling when having a treat. Sick to my stomach, vomitting, headaches, etc. Can be a blessing in disguise in when I do have a craving, think back to these feelings and usually cravings are stopped dead in the tracks. What usually helps me is an intense workout, tons of water, and a juice detox does help.
