Hi guys , im paleo low carb since 1month for my IBS , and it's going away finally after years of sufferance! The problem is that I eat A LOT of dark chocolate per day , expecially at breakfast , night , and after the meals!

I wanna cutt off all sugars from my diet , BUT I CANNOT EAT EGGS , and i already eat meat for the greatest part of my meals , so how can my breakfast be?

Without eggs and meat , any helps ? thanks a lot!

Agreed.. I guess it also depends on how much sugar is in the chocolate. The potato might it down on those cravings for chocolate too.

If she cuts way back on her heavy chocolate consumption, a morning sweet potato shouldn't pose a problem as far as carbs go.

Why can't you also eat meat for breakfast? I try to avoid eggs, so I end up doing ham, bacon, burgers, chicken, tuna, and other meats for breakfast.

What about fish? I like sweet potatoes, mixed greens and sardines for breakfast.

I think also you need to stop thinking of breakfast as just "breakfast foods". Just take a census of what all you CAN eat and mix it up. Sweet potatoes make a great hash, add some sausage, some greens, delish. But don't get caught up on what "meal" it is...it's just a meal. And while it may seem daunting to give up your chocolate or back off it, yes. YOU. CAN.

Do you eat dairy? Without eggs or meat for breakfast, maybe an organic strained yogurt? They usually have only 4-7 grams of carb per serving. If you eat nuts, some nuts could be helpful, and berries are pretty low carb overall. What do you restrict your carbs to per day? I like the sweet potato idea, I like it baked with butter and cinnamon for breakfast. It reminds me of having oatmeal, but that could be beyond your carb range. I also like greens with garlic cooked in bacon fat for breakfast, but for the most part skip breakfast.

Low-carb, no meat, no eggs... what the hell are you going to eat?

The only thing that meets those criteria outside of vegetables is some form of dairy. If you can tolerate dairy, I guess a bowl of yogurt or a block of cheese will be suitable. However, considering you have IBS, I'm not sure dairy consumption is going to fly. May I suggest introducing some carbohydrate and just eating different forms of meat than you're typically accustomed to? If that's doable, then the recommendation of potato hash and minced sausage comes into play.
