Tanning your armpits or deodorant?

I heard some interesting info from Dr. Mercola as Weston Price's keynote speaker at Wise Traditions conference. He suggested that a person could tan their pits, and the UV would kill odor causing bacteria. So people could use either deodorant or sunbathe their pits. Any references, thoughts, or experiences with this.

As someone who's fallen asleep with my arms behind my head before, tender, white armpits fully exposed to the sun...be careful, when those suckers burn, it is AWFUL!

The deoderants by Earth Science are good, and actually work. I like the tea tree and lavender. http://www.earthsciencenaturals.com/natural_body_care_products.html

has the law allowing women in the ffl been fully enacted? I thought women still couldn't enlist w/ that group.

It is a nice theory, and maybe all day sun exposure would help, but I used to put my arms up over my head in the tanning booth and never needed any less deodorant as a result.

I was wondering too when he said that...didn't the original info come from Dr Natasha? Maybe she has something about it in some of her materials (site/videos/etc)...

If this were true, one would probably have to do this for, say, 10-30 mins several times/day. Wouldn't it be easier to simply hold hot charcoals in your armpits for 5 minutes several times/day and kill bacteria with heat?

I suppose one could also shower, use hand sanitizer, or (THE HORROR) deodorant/antiperspirant. If there are deodorants out there mild and cruelty-free enough for the pasty, anemic cult-of-the-cuddly vegans who clot the aisles of Whole Paycheck, I'm sure there are versions amenable to a carnivorous beast like you.

I've heard him say this as well, tried it, and didn't feel satisfied with the results...my 2 cents...
