Hydrogen Peroxide 3% instead of corsodyl for dental surgery recovery.

I've just had dental surgery that involved slicing my gum, drilling my bone & stitches. The dentist insisted i use corsodyl for recovery & to fight infection. I'm on a precautionary course of antibiotics already. I'm not keen on using corsodyl as it tastes rank & leaves my mouth dry with a burning sensation. I have been alternating with warm salt water & peroxide washes 3 times a day. Is this enough to fight off infection from the outside??
