Granted, it was a weigh-in at night before bed and I was feeling stressed. I weighed myself about 2 weeks prior, so there was a difference.

You didn't add 10 lbs of muscle. You didn't add 10 lbs of fat. You probably added 5-7 lbs of water, and a couple of lbs of muscle and a couple of lbs of fat.

You need to define your goal. And the goal should not be -- I want to be 175 lbs -- weight is irrelevant.

Your goal should be:

  • I want to maintain a proper weight without starving myself
  • I want to progress faster in crossfit
  • I want to be able to
  • I want to see muscle tone in my shoulders
  • I want to see my abs

Once you define your goals, then you can tailor your diet/ lifestyle around the goal.
