We turned off all the lights and computers, lit a bunch of candles and I gave my teenage son a head massage and we had a long conversation. THe purpose is not to say progress is a bad thing, but to remind ourselves what we have abandoned because of our hyperconnected electrified lives, and how dependent we have become on it all.

A useful tenet of Paleo is better sleep, and the savvy use of real darkness. What's wrong with that? Also, this is not a question.

I welcome back the elements of the "dark ages" that benefit my serenity, health and comfort. And I get to choose what they are.

The dark ages were a product of the Catholic Church before the 1500s, so I agree but I don't think that is what you are trying to say.
