What he stated is extremely high in protein. So we must be specific in where the protein comes from. Approximately 50 grams of animal protein (preferably grass finished, or pasture raised meats). NO GRAINS, period, regardless of the protein count. And dairy is a nono on leptin reset for 6 weeks or until sensitivity returns due to insuligenic properties of dairy.

Is THAT what makes the crack in snap, crackle, pop? Or does the crack come as a prize?

Reset your leptin by eating an early breakfast that is high in protein

By resetting your leptin I take it you mean address your leptin resistance.

Leptin resistance is caused by an excess of leptin secretion, which desensitizes your hypothalamus to leptin signaling.

One important consequence is a dysregulation of appetite control, which leads to obesity and metabolic disturbances.

To resensitize (or reset) your hypothalamus it's important to decrease excessive leptin secretion.

Leptin is secreted from adipose (fat) cells in response to insulin.

Insulin is secreted in response to elevations in blood glucose.

Elevation in blood glucose is caused by carbohydrates and excessive elevation is caused by processed carbohydrates (such as the box of rice cereal you mentioned). Therefore rice cereal is definitely not going to help with leptin resistance. The carb content of milk will be dependent on your ability to digest lactose.

To decrease excessive insulin secretion and therefore excessive leptin you want to focus your diet on low glycemic carbs such as raw vegetables and add high levels of protein and healthy fats.

In time your hypothalamus will recalibrate to the lower levels of leptin and you will experience satiety with less food.
