Calcium deficiency in pregnancy?

I'm 16 weeks pregnant with my second child, and I've been (mostly) paleo, doing very little dairy, for several years. ??Until now, my fingernails were always strong and thick and did not break easily. ??They don't seem brittle, but they do break very easily now, and I can't help but link it to my pregnancy. ??I'm wondering if I need more calcium and should add in some raw, grass-fed dairy. ??Or is the idea that milk would help a leftover from my conventional wisdom days? ??Any other ideas?

Canned fish! Oysters! And if you're getting brittle nails eat more protein - bone broth/stock and gelatin for instance.

Why NOT consume dairy? Dairy is food, period. Unless you are allergic or lactose intolerant, there's no reason to avoid dairy.

Also, pastuerize your dairy! Raw dairies are not some magic place where microorganisms dare not tread??? listeria is bad news during pregnancy.??
